Help Josh after b2b accidents

Hi my name is Brittany and I'm raising money for my friend Josh. He's one of the most caring and hard working people I know and unfortunately life has really been throwing its worst at him.

On September 29th I called Josh to see if he wanted to come back to work for the weekend after we cut our hours at Cairo Ale House for 2 months due to sound ordinance issues with the city of West Chicago, leaving us with limited options for business being a music venue. Unfortunately this was already a financial setback for Josh along with the rest of the staff. Even more unfortunately, when Josh answered the phone he told me he wouldn't be able to that day because he was involved in a car accident 2 hours prior that ended with his car being totaled. Thankfully he was okay and everyone involved had no injuries. Even with car insurance, once the payout is settled it wont be more than $2k towards a new vehicle because he was still paying off his car.

September 30th I got a call from him around 3 or 4pm that I thought was going to be about getting a ride to work. Instead, it was him telling me he was longboarding to the gas station and was currently in an ambulance heading to the hospital. On the way to the gas station he fell off of his longboard sliding across the street curb and got a compound fracture in his (dominant hand) left arm. Multiple people drove past him and not a single one stopped to help even with his forearm bone sticking out and bleeding.

Josh does not currently have health insurance. The car he had was Josh and his girlfriend Jayne's only transportation for both of them to get to work. His main job is at a moving company and with his injury, wont be able to get back to work for a few months. Medical bills are a whole other ballgame of worries down the line but rent, food, and basic necessities are the main focus right now and making sure Josh is okay overall.
