As California’s statewide heat wave continues, dozens of wildfires are burning in nearly every Bay Area county. Early this week, evacuations were mandated for thousands of residents, Josette and Kristen being among those forced to leave their homes and belongings behind.

On Wednesday, August 19th, the Waddell wildfire (part of the CZU Lightning Complex Fires) engulfed my sister and her wife’s residence along with hundreds of others homes nearby, forcing nearly 80,000 from their homes. Josette and Kristen were able to evacuate, with a few of their belongings and their cat, to a friend's home in the middle of the night. However, due to weather conditions they are now being displaced once again.

With a heavy heart, I am asking for donations for them. Any money raised will be used for shelter and rebuilding their life together. If you find it in your heart to give, a donation of any amount is appreciated. We’re very grateful for prayers, positive vibes, and shares too.
