My name is Zelina Zavala, and I have created this GoFundMe for my uncle, Jose Luis Zavala and his family.

 

On Tuesday, November 9th, what started out as a "regular" reoccurring headache for Joe, has resulted in him now fighting for his life. This headache was more severe than others so he decided to take a nap. His wife Juana found him unconscious a while later, called 911, and performed CPR until the ambulance arrived. We lost him for a brief moment but First Responders revived him with an AED. Joe is currently intubated and unresponsive. The Neurologist has diagnosed his condition is as a result of Anoxic Brain Injury due to lack of oxygen, which we believe is a long term effect from when he had COVID back in July. At this time his body is only capable of performing involuntary functions and we just don't know how much longer he has.

 

Joe is only 52 years old and is the sole provider for his family; his wife, Juana, his 11 year old daughter April, and 6 year old son, Sebastian. He is such a bright light not only in our family, but to all who knew him. We believe in Jesus Christ and we trust that he has a plan for Joe.
