My name is Joseph, and I am facing one of the most difficult times of my life. After suffering a stroke, I am now almost crippled and just one step away from homelessness. The fear and uncertainty of not being able to pay my rent or bills on my own is overwhelming. I have always tried to be independent, but right now, I need help to keep a roof over my head while I fight for my benefits and work on my recovery.
