Help Joseph Simpanzye achieve his dream

My name is Jade Phiri, and I’m organizing this GoFundMe Page to support Joseph Simpanzye, a dedicated Zambian hockey player who has been forced to work as a gardener to make ends meet.

Despite his incredible talent and passion for hockey, Joseph’s financial struggles have taken precedence over his ability to train and compete.

He recently participated in a competition in Pretoria where he was the top scorer, yet his efforts went unrecognized, with no financial reward for his achievements.

The demands of his job have also led to his unfortunate removal from the national hockey team, as he couldn't keep up with the rigorous training schedule. Joseph’s story highlights the broader issue of inadequate support for athletes in sports outside of football.

I’m hoping to raise enough funds which will be used to support his training and allow him to afford his daily living expenses, giving him the opportunity to fully dedicate himself to his sport and let his talent shine.

All funds will go to assisting him in his purchasing of equipment such as hockey sticks, socks and shin pads. As well as allow him to attend training.
