Hello! My name is Joseph Salmore, and I’m the dining room manager at a senior living community in Palm Beach Gardens Florida. I’ve been happily married for 18 years and have two wonderful children who bring so much joy to my life. About 16 weeks ago, I had hip replacement surgery, but I recently learned that I developed a periprosthetic infection in my left hip. This means I need to undergo another two surgerys to remove and revise the prosthetic, which will keep me out of work for an additional 10 weeks.

Due to preexisting conditions, I’m not eligible for short-term disability, and I’ve already used all my vacation time during my initial recovery. This unexpected situation will lead to a loss of income and additional medical expenses for my family.
