Help Joseph relocate to the US for Film School
Hello friends and family, I am excited to announce that I’ll be moving back overseas to the US. I have been accepted into the Peter Stark Producing Program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. I GOT INTO FILM SCHOOL!!!!
I am fortunate to be 1 of the 25 students selected and have been chosen because of my ambition, grit and dedication to storytelling. I will be relocating back to California this summer and starting my graduate program this coming fall.
For those of you who may not be familiar with me. My name is Joseph. I am an international creative, who has spent time living in the US, UK, The Netherlands and Germany. I received my undergrad from Florida A&M University, and attended USC prior for a Masters program. I love all things music and film.
It’s time to bring more voices to the Black narrative. We’ve been bystanders for far too long, allowing others to appropriate and control our stories. It’s time to tell our stories our ways. I feel passionately about moving this process forward. Stories inspire change. Change is long overdue, and as a passionate storyteller, I plan to be part of that change.
It’s been a long journey getting here and I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my life. Of course as many of us know, school and moving is very costly when you’re a student, especially when coming from the UK. Gratefully so, I’ve managed to receive some scholarships to assist me with my tuition. However, I’m still in great need of coming up with remaining expenses of relocating from the UK. This has been huge dream of mine for quite sometime and I am asking that you graciously find it in your heart to donate to my GoFundMe to help me achieve this dream. It’s not easy asking for help, but J Cole said it best: “p r i d e . i s . t h e . d e v i l”.
This is strictly to assist me with covering some of the costs of tuition, and relocating back to the US (flights/shipping belongings/securing housing/initial transportation). I promise to be fully transparent with how the money raised is used by providing updates.
