Hi, my name is Elena and I’m honored to be Joseph’s mother and his best friend! In November 2024, Joe was in a car accident that left him with a severe concussion. He lost some of his college credits as he could not attend school or drive from the dizziness, nausea and relentless headaches. Two months later, he poked himself in the hand w a dirty tool, and even though he was up-to-date on his tetanus shot, and there are less than 30 cases a year in NY hey developed full blown Tetanus infection! For days on end he would sweat and shake violently and has been at Stony Brook Hospital over three weeks now battling this horrible illness. I started this GoFundMe for a chance for us to help him get his life together after all of this has happened to him at such a young age.
