My name is Joseph, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself during one of the hardest seasons of my life. An unexpected illness put me in the hospital, and the surgery that followed left me out of commission for a long time. Because of that, I lost work and fell behind while medical bills kept piling up. On top of everything else, I’ve been through three strokes, five major blood clots, and more. Every time I start to get caught up, another setback seems to hit. I also lost my health insurance in December, and now I’m solely responsible for overwhelming medical expenses. Right now, my fridge is bare, I’m struggling to keep up with basic bills, and I can’t afford the life-saving medications I need.

The support from this fundraiser will help me cover medical bills, other monthly expenses, groceries, and everyday essentials while I try to recover and regain some stability. More than anything, I’m asking for a little breathing room so I can focus on my health instead of constantly worrying about how I’ll make it through the next week.
