Help Joe rehabilitate hand, new surgery June 17

Our dear friend and brother Joseph Wyberski has been through A LOT the past few months—on January 30th,  Joseph had a horrible accident causing major traumatic injuries to his right hand. Through multiple surgeries, doctors were able to save his index finger, pinky finger and thumb, but lost his ring and middle fingers. Being right-handed, it's going to be a long, difficult journey to get back to some semblance of normalcy. He’s now pushing through the grueling process of healing and rehabilitation. The nerve pain has frequently been unbearable, as some days and nights he’s in constant pain as the nerves reestablish themselves. 

Joe’s working hard physically and mentally every day, with very inspiring determination. Movement of his remaining fingers is still very limited, but will hopefully be improved with more surgeries and therapy. He is promisingly regaining some light gripping strength with his remaining fingers. Everything Joe does, from hunting and golfing, to his professional work, relies heavily on the use of his hands. He is doing his best to stay positive, but this life-changing event has been very mentally and financially difficult on him and his family.

We created this GoFundMe page to help Joe and his family pay for all the overwhelmingly expensive medical bills piling up. There’s still no telling how much his hand will heal, so a large portion of donations will go towards getting Joe a nerve-communicating mechanical prosthesis to replace his missing fingers and increase his hand mobility and strength. These custom devices are extremely expensive. We all want Joe to feel socially and mentally confident, and to be able to continue to do the things he loves.
