As many of you know, my brother Joey has endured quite a ride these last few months. He unexpectedly lost his beautiful wife and high school sweetheart Nicole this past August. This has left a huge void in all of our lives that knew Nicole, but also quite a burden has been placed on Joey’s shoulders. He was left with a hefty mortgage, 2 dogs, Balto and Lola and quite a bit of financial stress. Because of Nicole’s long enduring illness, she left behind a huge debt. Joey has found himself overwhelmed and unprepared to handle these financial struggles.As the days go on and my brother tries to sort thru all the new discoveries and handle house hold duties like paying bills and caring for his dogs and home, he keeps running into a lot of difficult situations to overcome. He most recently got an email that later would be confirmed to be a scammer.(This is his first experience with paying bills because Nicole had always handled all of that so he wouldn’t have to worry) This scammer was able to wipe out all of my brothers finances. After many phone calls and emails he is highly unlikely to recoup any of his losses. I’m asking any friends and family that love my brother to help give him some support and hope in a very dark time in his life. He is also battling thru depression and has been unable to return to work further complicating his day to day life. I don’t like asking for help if I can avoid it, and I know Joey is the same way.
