Help Joseph Davis Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
At around 2 AM, Wednesday May 15th 2024, my father, Joseph Davis' house caught fire and burned everything. He lost four dogs in the blaze and everything he owned. He himself barely escaped with his life after being alerted to the fire by his dogs. Only a single dog and the clothes on his back survived. He was hospitalized with acute smoke inhalation and several burns he sustained while trying to rescue the rest of the dogs from their kennels. The house had been in my family since the 1970s and was full of so many family memories and heirlooms that are all gone now.
My fiance and I have decided to start a GoFundMe for him, in the hope that people both from the community and beyond it will be willing to aid him in rebuilding his life. I understand that no amount of money can bring back his dogs or rebuild my childhood home, but I just want to know that he's able to get back on his feet. He has no vehicle, no house and is in severe need.
My dad is a prideful man, I know he would never ask for money or help for himself, even now. I couldn't just stand by and let his pride prevent him from getting the aid he desperately needs. Even if we don't reach the set goal, I know he'll appreciate anything we can raise to help him out in the darkest time of his entire life. Anyone that donates to the cause, thank you from the bottom of my heart, I just want to make things even a little bit easier for him right now while he's figuring out how to pick up the pieces after this tragedy.
