My name is Jillian and I am organizing this fundraiser for my dear family friends Mary and Joseph, who lost her home on Alta Pine Drive in Altadena.

Three days ago the Coombes family lost absolutely everything they owned. Mary was out of town visiting her ailing mother in Connecticut and Joseph was returning home from work. He arrived to the house after receiving an emergency alert, and found their home in ruins.

All that remains of their home- with all of their belongings, family heirlooms, photographs, and cherished memories, is reduced to a concrete foundation and brick chimney.

Joseph is our childhood best friend and Mary is a mother to us. Some of our most treasured memories include coming over to their house every Sunday for Mary’s homemade Italian dinners, playing with Joseph for hours in their backyard, and the fabulous parties they would host.

Mary and Joseph would never ask for help themselves, but if you are able to contribute to their recovery fund, I know they would be grateful for your support.
