Hi, my name is Garry and I'm fundraising for my son Josef.
Josef has been sick with Lyme disease for several years now.
Thank you to all those who have been following Josef’s journey and to all those who have supported with prayer and financial support, or words of encouragement. It means a lot to know that you’re not alone.
Josef’s health has been on a slow decline for some time. Over the last few weeks Josef that has had days of severe nausea, anxiety and fatigue which has left him, often times, fairly incapacitated. Some days are better, but it is a common occurrence.
It’s not unusual for this to happen. Recovering from Lyme’s is a complicated process. A part of that complication, are the co-infections that come with Lyme’s which are somewhat harder to treat. I won’t trouble with the details, but things like Bartonella and Babesia are common co-infections.
Many of Josef’s symptoms can be attributed to this. We have tended to lump everything under Lyme’s disease as it all comes together and made for the easiest explanation
We have started the process of planning his next course of treatment which will entail going overseas again to Germany for treatment.
Josef's first treatment in St Georg Klink in Germany had an amazing result as you can see in the photograph of the before and after treatment photos. Often, one treatment is not enough. He needs to go again.
We have been able to come so far with the generosity of many friends and family. Thanks so much everyone.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. And from other people’s experience we know that follow-up treatment, or a second treatment as we did in Germany, and treatment for the co-infections is often needed.
So, thank you for journeying with us
If you can help Josef, we would be so thankful
I am presently doing a 320km/200mile walk to rais funds for Josef
If you can sponsor me in this then that would be amazing
Garry
