I am asking for your help during one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced. My nephew, Jose Alturo Diaz Plasencia, is just 25 years old and currently battling a life-threatening medical condition. We are doing everything we can to save his life. Jose suffers from congestive heart failure and severe ulcers on both of his legs due to excess weight. His condition has become critical—he is retaining a significant amount of fluid, and most dangerously, he has developed blood clots in his lungs. Doctors have told us that he urgently needs a pulmonary thrombectomy (INARI procedure) to remove the clots and give him a chance to survive. This procedure is life-saving and cannot be delayed. He is currently in the Dominican Republic, where our family is from. Sadly, we have already exhausted all available health insurance coverage, and the cost of this emergency procedure and continued treatment is far beyond what we can afford.
