Help Jose Represent Oregon at DNC

Hello, my name is Jose Gamero-Georgeson and I recently got elected to be a delegate at this summer's Democratic National Committee (DNC) Convention. As many of you know, "The primary goal of the Democratic National Convention is to officially nominate a candidate for president and vice president, adopt a comprehensive party platform, and unify the party." At least, that's what Wikipedia says. I am excited to be part of that process and learn first hand what really happens at these conventions and hopefully have the opportunity to share Oregon's progressive values. Representation matters and I hope I can represent my communities well, as a disabled, gay, Latino immigrant.

Here's the breakdown of expected costs:

$550 flight+bags

$2045 hotel, if single*

$200 delegate charge

$450 Food, Ubers, etc.

$400 incidentals and gofund.me fees

* Not sure if I can do a split room. I need accommodations and have certain needs... when everyone gets back after a long day, it gives me terrible anxiety to think that they couldn't go right to sleep because I have things I must do before I get to bed - even if they say it's ok, you know?
