My name is Jose Ortiz Ventura, and I’m proud to announce that I’ve officially qualified to represent Ontario at the 2025 Canadian Boxing Nationals — one of the biggest stages in amateur boxing in the country. This year’s Nationals will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

This opportunity means everything to me. I’ve put in years of work inside the gym while balancing training, working shifts, and teaching boxing classes to both kids and adults. Boxing has changed my life, and now I get the chance to step on the national stage and prove myself.

Unfortunately, travel expenses such as flying to Winnipeg, hotel stay, and meals aren’t covered, so I’m reaching out to my community for support in helping me get there.

Every donation, big or small, goes directly toward:

• Flying expenses to Winnipeg

• Food during the tournament

• Training expenses leading up to competition
