Help "Pito" (Jose) Recover from Kidney Cancer

Our world turned upside down when my husband, “Pito” Jose, was diagnosed with kidney cancer this week. Ironically on the 9th Anniversary of laying his father to rest, also from Cancer. Definitely not how we expected to be spending our first 6 months as newlyweds.

Jose’s kidney tumor has grown to 3.3 cm—likely developing silently over the past 2-3 years. Like many kidney cancers, it was only caught recently and is now in need of immediate treatment. Because of the size and stage, we’re fighting for healing, for time, and for his quality of life.

After months of testing and unanswered questions, we finally got the news—he needs surgery to remove part of his kidney. But his body is too weak right now. Blood tests show that he’s not strong enough to return to work or undergo the operation, so surgery has been delayed for two months, followed by at least another 8–12 weeks of recovery—possibly longer.

Jose has always been a consistent provider for our family, working hard every day without complaint. But now, he’s being forced to rest and heal while we face the overwhelming weight of lost income, medical bills, and daily expenses.

While we’re supporting his recovery with herbs, clean nutrition, and holistic care, many of the things that truly support healing aren’t covered by insurance. And the expenses are piling up.

The funds raised will help us:

• Cover the loss of income during this critical time, doctors estimate 6 months

• Pay for insurance premiums $550/month and and uncovered medical expenses, copays and deductibles and co-insurance rates, the bills are already at 10k after insurance and before he's really even begun treatment.

• Afford the high-quality food, supplements, and herbal support Jose needs to heal
