I could barely stand, and now I’m in a rehabilitation center working hard to regain my mobility. This has been a difficult journey, both physically and emotionally, and I’ve had to use the last of my savings to cover my mortgage and vehicle payments. Living alone, I’ve always worked two jobs to support myself and keep my dream of owning a home alive, but the current economy has made things even tougher.
