Hi everyone I’m fundraising for Jose Tilo Vega, my fiancé. The kindest most generous person I have ever met. In January I rushed him to the ER with severe coughing and not being able to swallow, even his saliva. Within an hour we were told he had pneumonia and most likely cancer. Within a week he was transferred 3 times ending at northwestern in Chicago. After tons of testing, Diffuse large b-cell lymphoma. Feeding tube, port and chemo within 2 weeks. Chemo caused multiple hospitalizations with no white blood cells. The cancer has caused holes in his esophagus and trachea and fistulas. Multiple stents had to be placed.Last month an entire 15 hours of surgery they removed the damaged esophagus and rerouted what’s left to a stoma in his chest, did a tracheotomy ,they also harvested a muscle from his back to patch his trachea placed a Y stent , with recovery everything that could happen did. Infection, hematoma, pulmonary embolism, u name it. He fought through it all. Last week I had to call 911, he was helicoptered to Chicago as no one else will take him and his teams are out there. Dr. Lung is one of the best, we are lucky for all his doctors and their teams. He is the strongest person I know . We ask for help so Jose can keep fighting the fight. He is still in the hospital but getting better everyday. Praying for him to come home soon. We love you and thank you all !!
