Hey community--

Three of our beloved Austin workers' and immigrant rights organizers are in need of community support after extensive damage to their home during last week's storm that left many homes in East Austin destroyed. Jose, Ozzie, and Bri have relied on the generosity of friends for housing this past week due to being unable to inhabit their home right now due to extensive damage. Their landlord and the insurance company have been slow to respond, and they are still waiting to be set up with temporary housing support, thus having to couch surf and rely on the community for support.

We are setting a goal of raising $3,000 in mutual aid funds to support them in securing temporary housing, covering meals, and other essentials that they don't have access to due to the damage in their home. Every dollar matters. Whether it's $2, $20, or $200, anything you can contribute will go a long way in helping them feel some sense of security again.
