Hi there , my name is Jessica and I’m making this GoFundMe for my boyfriend Jose in helps with his medical and financial bills.

On June 15th , 2023 our lives changed completely. Jose had a horrible motorcycle accident which landed him in the hospital ICU for 43 days before being transferred to a rehab home for 3 1/2 months. From there he was able to recover at home but now life with an ileostomy bag. The ileostomy bag changed his life where it stopped him from doing normal day to day things. Luckily there was a chance that he could have a reversal of the ileostomy bag but with time. Now almost 2 1/2 years later on October 22nd Jose was able to have the reversal surgery to remove the ileostomy bag. The surgery went well but complications with closing him up which resulted in him being put into a medical induced coma for a few days to allow his body to heal without stress from pain. After that he spent a week in the hospital recovering before going home and finishing his recovery with his family.

Because of the many hospital stays, being hospitalized at UCSF and not being able to support his own, we are now asking for help. Between medical bills and the monthly bills of living we need help with keeping up. Anything that you can help with is extremely appreciated and helpful for our family while Jose continues to recover at home.

UPDATE: Jose became very sick when he came home from the hospital and two days later was transported back to UCSF. He’s doing better now with the infection under control. He was discharged again on November 5th
