Help Jose Luis Rebuild After A Devastating Apartment Fire

Hi Everyone,

I’m reaching out to you on behalf of my coworker and friend, Jose Luis Cancel, whose life was turned upside down when his apartment was destroyed by a devastating fire on August 14th. Thankfully, Jose Luis, his wife Elsie and their daughter Kayla made it out safely, but tragically, they lost everything they owned in the blaze.

Jose Luis is the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Now, he’s the one who needs help. All of his family's personal belongings, including wallets, phones, furniture, all of their clothing, and irreplaceable keepsakes, were lost in the fire. They now face the daunting task of starting over from scratch.

With no home, the family is in temporary housing while trying to figure out their next steps. The emotional and financial burden of rebuilding a life is overwhelming, and that’s why I’m asking for your help.

We are raising funds to help cover:

- Essential items like clothing, toiletries, and food

- Replacing basic furniture and household items

- Helping cover costs for finding a new apartment
