José is 16 years old and was living in Maryland with his father when his life suddenly changed. His father was deported, and now José is separated from both of his parents.

He is currently staying with friends of the family, but he is still a child—scared, alone, and trying to make sense of everything that has happened. All he wants is to be back with his parents.

As the holidays approach, José dreams of being reunited with his family before Christmas. While many of us are planning celebrations, José is carrying the heavy weight of separation, uncertainty, and loss.

Our organization is helping José obtain his passport and make travel arrangements. We are raising funds to cover his airfare, which is the final step to reunite him with his family.
