Jose Daniel's Story

Jose Daniel left his native Venezuela, escaping the economic crisis and political corruption of the dictatorial regime in his country, and moved to Ecuador where he met Adriana, the love of his life. Adriana had left behind 7 children in Venezuela before moving to Ecuador, after surviving an abusive relationship that had left her with 9 stab wounds and almost lost her life. Jose Daniel built a home with Adriana, sent for her 7 children from Venezuela, and together they had 2 more children in Ecuador, bringing the total to 9. Jose Daniel was proud of his large family and worked various jobs and started different businesses in Ecuador before deciding to move to the United States.

La historia de Daniel

Jose Daniel abandonó su Venezuela natal, escapando de la crisis económica y la corrupción política del régimen dictatorial en su país, y se mudó a Ecuador donde conoció a Adriana, el amor de su vida. Adriana había dejado atrás 7 hijos en Venezuela antes de mudarse a Ecuador, después de sobrevivir a una relación abusiva que la había dejado con 9 heridas de cuchillo y casi le costó la vida. Jose Daniel construyó un hogar con Adriana, trajo a sus 7 hijos desde Venezuela, y juntos tuvieron 2 hijos más en Ecuador, llegando a un total de 9. Jose Daniel estaba orgulloso de su gran familia y trabajó en varios empleos y emprendió diferentes negocios en Ecuador antes de decidir mudarse a los Estados Unidos.

A New Chapter

Once in the United States, Jose Daniel sent for his entire family, his 9 children and wife Adriana, and they have been working together to get their family ahead. It was in this new stage of his life that we had the pleasure of knowing him. Jose Daniel was the soul of the place everywhere he went, a charismatic young man with an excellent sense of humor who always made sure no one around him was ever bored.

Un nuevo capítulo en su vida

Una vez en los Estados Unidos, Jose Daniel trajo a toda su familia, sus 9 hijos y su esposa Adriana, y han estado trabajando juntos para salir adelante. Fue en esta nueva etapa de su vida que tuvimos el placer de conocerlo. Jose Daniel era el alma del lugar en cualquier sitio que iba, un joven carismático con un excelente sentido del humor que siempre se aseguraba de que nadie a su alrededor se aburriera nunca.

A Tragic Turn

At the end of April 2025, Jose Daniel walked into a hospital in Washington, smiling and hopeful, for a simple hernia correction procedure. He took a selfie before entering the operating room, showing his contagious smile as if he knew he would be home in a matter of hours. However, fate had other plans for Jose Daniel. He never woke up from his surgery and spent 21 days in a coma until May 13th, when he was declared brain dead, and was disconnected from life support on May 14th, when his death was declared.

Un giro trágico

A finales de abril de 2025, Jose Daniel ingresó en un hospital de Washington, sonriendo y lleno de esperanza, para someterse a un procedimiento de corrección de hernia simple. Se tomó una selfie antes de entrar en la sala de operaciones, mostrando su sonrisa contagiosa como si supiera que estaría en casa en cuestión de horas. Sin embargo, el destino tenía otros planes para Jose Daniel. Nunca despertó de su cirugía y pasó 21 días en coma hasta el 13 de mayo, cuando fue declarado con muerte cerebral, y se le desconectó de los sistemas de soporte vital el 14 de mayo, cuando se declaró su muerte.

A Family in Need

It was during this last stage that we also had the opportunity to meet this great family, and that's why I'm appealing to the generosity of friends, acquaintances, and loved ones to help organize the funeral arrangements for Jose Daniel. Today, it's a family of a wife and 9 children who need our help.
