Help Jose Fight Bone Spurs

Please help my dear friend Jose Antonio. He is the most hard-working father of two and due to a medical emergency has asked me to help him financially in whatever way possible. It brought tears to his eyes when I told him in my broken Spanish that I would do whatever it takes to help. Don’t worry if you cannot afford anything at this time, send Don Antonio your prayers and good wishes. He can use it.
Below I have written more details on the situation:

West Village dining hall is one of those bustling places on a college campus where you can see freshmen enjoying their meals, laughing together, and awkwardly introducing themselves.  Three years ago, I was one of those awkward freshman, eating, laughing and focused on impressing a girl at my table. At least that was until Jose approached. He caught me completely off guard when he asked me *in Spanish* where I was from. I sat there with a frozen puzzled look on my face, my peripheral vision focused on the girl at the table. She looked more interested in my pending response than at any of the jokes I had clumsily delivered earlier, so I figured I wouldn't waste the opportunity and I responded in my broken Spanish that I hadn't used since high school. While I never saw that girl again, that day was the start of my 3+ year long friendship with Jose. Even if I was not the genuine Spanish speaker that he expected me to be based on my appearance, we still became very close. In fact, up to this day, Jose or Don Jose as I call him, sits with me and my roommate and chats with us in Spanish every time we go to West Village. He's shared stories about his childhood in a small town near Acapulco, his dream of bringing his mom to the U.S., and his two children that he supports. Every dinner, I am greeted by his always cheerful face, so when I did not see him for three days I began to worry. Two days after I messaged, he called me from a hospital bed. He was scared about the surgery his doctor told him he would need, but expected to be back after a week. The surgery turned out to be extremely hard on Jose's body and the doctor ordered him to stay in the hospital for two more weeks. Between the steep hospital bills and missing work for three weeks, Jose has been struggling financially to come back. I greatly appreciate it if you have read this far and ask you to give whatever you can to this man in need.

Thank you for your support!
