My name is Sybil Marie Balasabas. On behalf of my mother and brothers, I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support in helping my father, Jose Antonio Sedigo, in his battle against stage-4 lung cancer.

He was diagnosed last December 2024 and in a span of weeks his health rapidly deteriorated. He has received 2 cycles of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, which has shown significant improvement in reducing the size of the lung tumor. However, with a low immune system, he has had recurrent lung infections and has been in and out of the hospital since then.

My father is based in Dumaguete City, Philippines where he used to work as Professor and Lawyer. Unfortunately, his retirement savings dwindled from multiple hospitalizations, tests and procedures and medications among others. While we are doing our best to keep up with the financial demands, we simply cannot do it alone. That is why we are reaching out to you who may be willing to lend a helping hand in this fight for his life.

Our father has always been our pillar of strength. He was the sole breadwinner of the family and still worked even after retirement, so he could provide for his and my mothers needs. He sacrificed so much to give our family a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes to keep us warm, and an education to secure our future. Now, as he fights the toughest battle of his life, it is up to me, my siblings, and my mother to stand by his side—just as he has always stood by ours.

We are doing everything we can to ensure he receives the best possible care, but the medical and care cost is overwhelming and their daily living expenses have also become increasingly difficult to manage.

Any amount, big or small, will make a huge difference in easing our financial strain and ensuring my father continues to receive the treatment he so desperately needs.
