Hi everyone, I’m reaching out because as many of you know, my beloved cat, Jorgie, is currently facing a serious medical emergency and needs urgent veterinary care. He has developed urinary blockage and retention, which means he is unable to pass urine on his own. This condition can quickly become life-threatening due to pain, bladder rupture, or kidney damage if it isn’t treated immediately.

So far, he has required emergency veterinary visits, diagnostic tests, and procedures to relieve the obstruction. He was recovering well yesterday, but upon discharge he started having symptoms again. Unfortunately, urinary blockages in cats often recur and may require hospitalization, specialized treatment, or even surgery to correct the underlying problem.

The costs are adding up quickly for his exams, diagnostic labs and imaging, IV fluids and catheterizations. He is also facing a possible cystotomy, which is major surgery to remove his bladder stones.

As much as I want to handle everything on my own, the unexpected veterinary bills are overwhelming. I’m starting this fundraiser to help cover the cost of his treatment so he can get the care he needs to recover and live a comfortable life.

Jorgie is a huge part of life and family. He has brought so much joy, companionship, and comfort into my life, and seeing him in pain has been heartbreaking. I want to do everything possible to give him the best chance to get through this.
