A loving father, a doting husband, a giving brother-in-law, a phenomenal uncle: our dear Jorge Navarro recently suffered what doctors call a “widow-maker” heart attack, which is one of the most serious and life-threatening cardiac emergencies. It came without warning and has turned life upside down for Jorge, his wife, and their two daughters.

Thanks to the quick actions of emergency responders and the incredible work of the medical teams at HealthPark Medical Center and Tampa General, Jorge is still with usI But the fight isn’t over. He now faces a long road to recovery, and the financial burden of emergency care, hospitalization, and ongoing treatment is overwhelming.

As many of you know, when something like this happens, the medical bills start piling up immediately: ambulance services, emergency procedures, ICU care, life support machines, medications, follow-up treatment, and time away from work. No family is ever prepared for expenses like these.

Right now, Jorge’s wife and daughters are focused on what matters most: being by his side and helping him in his recovery. So much so, that his two daughters are in a difficult position of potentially losing their jobs as they both live out of state, but need to help their father through this long and difficult road to recovery.
