Jorge is a dedicated 14 year old from Hartley in Kent, who has been committed to karate since the age of 3. 

Kaylan aged 12 is also a dedicated young boy and has been training since the age of 4.  They are both passionate about karate. 

When Jorge was 8 years old he was selected to represent England and recently both boys been selected to compete in the World Karate Championships in Fort Lauderdale, USA in July and the European Championships in Tuscany, Italy in November.

Jorge became a world bronze team kumite medallist in 2019 and a world bronze kata medallist last year. It is a dream for the boys to be able to complete in the USA and an amazing opportunity for them. 

The boys train 5- 6 times a week, working around school commitments and often missing out on social events due to their dedication to karate.

The boys are trying to raise funds towards equipment, tracksuits and travel. Unfortunately the boys and the club do not receive any donations or sponsorship, therefore we are trying to raise funds to allow the boys to continue to compete at this high level.

Jorge, Kaylan and his friends are participating in a sponsored 36 mile bike ride from Greenhithe to Greenwich to help raise funds.
