Help Jorge Recover!

Recently, one of our brothers Jorge Ricano (Spring 11 BA #10) was in a severe car accident. Jorge survived but has been hospitalized and will likely be there until around Christmas time, if his recovery goes well. Due to spinal injury, he is paralyzed from the waist down.

If you knew Jorge, you would know he is a polite, caring man who loved his family, both blood and brothers. He was always down to to party and was incredibly hard working. After graduating from UCSC he returned to LA to care for his newborn baby brother.

I have set a goal of $10,000 to help with the costs of his recovery. He has broken his ribs, and displaced a disk in his lower spine. Although I am unaware of the true costs of his surgery, recovery and therapy, I think $10,000 will have a tremendous impact on him and his family.

In the coming months, I will also be organizing a road trip to travel to LA and visit Jorge in the hospital. This donation will be kept SECRET until we present it to him during this trip. Jorge never asked us for help during college, it is simply the strong kind of person he is. So let us SURPRISE him with this gift to show our love and support.
