My name is Maria mejias, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my husband, Jorge Mejias, who recently suffered a terrible accident, he was hit by a car. As a result, he sustained a severe brain injury, underwent major surgery to completely reconstruct his tibia, and is now facing progressive vision loss in his right eye.

Since the accident, Jorge has struggled with memory problems and sometimes doesn’t recognize the people around him. Watching him go through this has been incredibly painful for all of us, especially knowing the strong, loving, and hard-working man he has always been.

Jorge is 37 years old and has always been a devoted, responsible, and caring husband. Before the accident, he was the main provider for our home, while I was out of work. This tragedy caught us completely by surprise and has turned our lives upside down.

The doctors have told us that his recovery will be a long process, and although we have faith he will improve, right now he cannot work and needs ongoing care. The expenses,therapy, medication, and daily living costs have become overwhelming.

We are asking, from the bottom of our hearts, for any help you can give. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference and will go directly toward household expenses, and supporting our family as Jorge continues his recovery.
