My name is Jorge Luis Del Villar Sanchez, and I am fighting for my life every day. I was born with NF2 (neurofibromatosis type 2), a condition that causes tumors to grow throughout my body. Over time, my health has gotten worse, and I reached a point where I could no longer work. Sixteen months ago, I started dialysis, which changed my life completely. I tried my best to keep working and support my family, but the pain and exhaustion became too much. A tumor on my neck grew to the size of a golf ball, causing constant, severe pain and making it impossible for me to continue. Because of this, we lost our home. I even had to sell my truck just to help pay bills and survive. Now, we are facing losing our current place as well because we simply can’t afford it anymore.
My illness has also affected my wife deeply. She has been by my side through everything, taking me to the ER during countless emergencies. Sadly, because she missed so many days caring for me, she lost her job too. Living like this is incredibly hard. I am deaf, in constant pain, and dealing with multiple tumors in my body. On top of that, I am on dialysis due to kidney failure caused by high blood pressure. After waiting three long years, I finally have a surgery scheduled this June to remove the tumor in my neck. While I am hopeful, I know it will be very painful, and the recovery will take several months.
Right now, we are struggling just to get by. I am humbly asking for help—any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. Your support can help us keep a roof over our heads, cover medical expenses, and get through this incredibly difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, sharing, and supporting me during this fight.
