Help Jordyn Beat Her Cervical Cancer!
Donation protected
To the person reading this – Thank you for taking a moment out of your busy life to positively impact someone else’s. My name is Angi, and I have set up this GoFundMe for my daughter, Jordyn, to support her as she navigates her cervical cancer diagnosis while being pregnant with her first child.
Jordyn and Fraser are not ones to usually ask for money from people and always like to pay their own way; however, with the medical expenses, transport to and from the hospital every 2 weeks and preparing for a baby, I have decided to reach out and ask for a little bit of help for them.
On the 30th December 2023 we found out that Jordyn was pregnant with her first baby! Her and her husband were overwhelmed with excitement and couldn’t believe it was finally happening! They were going to be a family of 4 (Including Bailey, their Fur-baby).
On the 29th January 2024, She had our first Obstetrician appointment. During this appointment Jordyn had a full physical exam which showed a mass on her cervix. She went in for multiple tests and scans, a hospital panel was pulled together and we had an appointment with a Gynaecological Oncologist all within 7 days.
On the 5th February 2024, Jordyn had been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. The cancer that she has is rare and aggressive and the recommended ‘Standard Treatment’ was to terminate and start Chemotherapy and Radiation immediately. It was that large and aggressive type that they offered to book her termination in for the end of that week. This was heartbreaking. The main treatments of Cervical Cancer prevent ANY future pregnancies.
After going home and letting the news sink in, telling their family and crying SO many tears, they had decided to speak with a range of Specialists about other options and what the risks might be. They decided to go against the recommended ‘Standard Treatment’ and do what we could to maintain the pregnancy. Without falling pregnant in the first place, Jordyn would have no idea that she had cervical cancer..
She receives high dose Chemotherapy every 3 weeks and spends about 6-8 hours sitting in a chair to do this.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of crossing paths with Jordyn can attest to how kindhearted, hardworking, selfless, compassionate, and strong she is. And those who don’t know her would know in the first moments of meeting her how true this statement really is. She is an incredible human being with a heart of gold, who always puts everyone else’s needs before hers.
It is now our turn to help her.
These funds will go directly towards her treatment expenses, travel costs and daily living expenses while she navigates this difficult journey, allowing her to focus on healing and growing bub.
We thank you for any contribution or support during this journey!
