Hi, my name is Jordan Groves, and I'm reaching out during one of the hardest times in my life.
I live in Plymouth, Indiana, and for the past five months, I’ve been battling a severe flare-up of Crohn’s disease, a painful and chronic inflammatory condition that has made it impossible for me to work.
I work as a Group Leader, and I’m the sole provider for my family — my amazing wife, our 5-year-old daughter, and our 7-month-old baby boy. Supporting them has always been my priority and my greatest honor. Right now, we’re in crisis.
Why I'm Asking for Help
I’ve been on medical leave since my symptoms worsened, and while I was supposed to be covered by short-term disability, my claim was denied due to a technical issue. I’m currently in the middle of an appeals process, but it’s slow and uncertain — and in the meantime, we’ve had no income coming in.
My wife has been actively applying for jobs, doing everything she can to help support us. On top of that, we’ve sold everything we could at our local pawn shop, and we’ve had multiple garage sales just to try and keep up with the bills. We’ve done everything we can to make it on our own.
Still, our rent and electric bills are now seriously overdue, and we're struggling to keep food on the table. We’re trying to stay strong for our kids, but at this point, we need help.
How Your Support Will Help
Any funds raised will go directly toward:
Rent and utility bills
Groceries and baby supplies
Medical expenses not covered by insurance
Keeping our family stable until I can return to work or receive benefits
Every Little Bit Helps
Even the smallest donation would be a huge help to us. And if you’re not in a position to give, just sharing this page would mean the world.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with my family during this incredibly tough time. Your kindness and support give us strength and hope.
With deep appreciation,
Jordan Groves
