Jordan's Journey to the JOs (Junior Olympics)

It's me ~ Jordan, aka #MovingWithJ!! I am so excited to inform my supporters that I have qualified in the 400m, 800m, and 1500m for the 2024 AAU Junior Olympics!! This is now my 3rd year of running track and through hard work I have managed to qualify for all three years in the AAU Jr. Olympics!!!

This is an exciting time for me, as my Mom (who is also one of my coaches with the St. Louis Scorpions) has traveled and sacrificed a lot for me to be able to compete at local and out of state track meets for the 2024 season. These have been critical meets to prepare me for the Regional and District meets which were the Olympic qualifying meets!

Three HUGE accomplishments thus far for this season that I'd like to share with you all: (1) Set a new 1500m PR of 5:33.84 during the AAU Qualifying District Meet, (2) Set a new 400m PR of 1:12.34 during the AAU Qualifying Regional Meet (3) Set a new 800m PR of 2:48.72, and (4) Set a new course record in my age group in the Hoka Festival of Miles, which is a 1-mile course, of 6:08

It's all about progression and through hard work I am seeing the progress. This is not to boast, but to show my current supporters and future supporters that I am putting in the required work to be better, faster, and stronger every year.

This year the AAU Jr Olympics will take place in Greensboro, North Carolina from 28 July - 3 August. Just as last year, we are doing a GoFundMe to help with expenses, including travel (about a 11-hour drive one way), lodging for 6 nights, food, hydration, and entry fees. Just as promised for 2023, we can assure you that every dime received will go towards the #MovingWithJ 2024 AAU Jr. Olympics journey!

Last year when I did a GoFundMe, I informed you all that my goal is to qualify for the Jr. Olympics every year (Lord's will) - until I make it to the SUMMER OLYMPICS as a professional athlete! My motto is Philippians 4:13, which I say before every race! "I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength!" If I keep believing...keep working hard....stay focused....even at the age of 9 years old, it will happen!! Will you continue to be a part of helping me get there? Your support will not only help me reach a personal goal of competing again at the AAU Jr Olympics against some of the best in the Nation, but it will also inspire me to continue to pursue my dream of becoming a professional athlete by witnessing the outpouring of love, prayers, and support along this journey.
