Jordan Potter...Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, coach, and most importantly a Dad. We all know him...meme king, hilarious, sarcastic, kind hearted man who would give you the shirt of his back and help anyone who needs it. Someone who continually makes sure others are doing ok. Somethings you may not know and that is the health battle he has had to endure for the last 5 years. Diagnosed at 33 with melanoma which continued to be a 4 year battle, 20 surgeries, 69 biopsy’s and a body full of scars. Finally in 2017 he got the all clear, then came the start of a new challenge that came about in July 2018. What started as a cough led into an emergency surgery from a collapsed lung and a 10 day hospital stay. Where In those moments he had to fight to stay with us as we almost lost him. In all they drained 10 liters of fluid out of his lung, his heart was pushed into the other lung from the inflammation from the fluid build up. Sadly this is not the end of this story...multiple CT scans, and doctors appointments and they found something else. Finally in December he was given a diagnosis of mesothelioma, the cancer is in the lining of his lungs. The doctors have advised against surgery right now and to start chemically. He started chemo February 14th and has a tough few months ahead. While he faces the toughest fight for his life the medical bills and everyday expenses pile up, this gofundme is to help ease the burden and stress off of Jordan as he still has not been cleared by his Doctor to return to work.
