Help Jordan to improve her quality of life

Donation protected
Hi my name is Lucy and I'm fundraising on behalf of Jordan, here is a little message from Jordan explaining why we are fundraising on her behalf!

I'm Jordan and I'm 27. For some time I have been battling with chronic health problems that suddenly deteriorated in 2020 that have caused a plethora of neurological symptoms .This has left me relying on using a wheelchair as I have muscle weakness, pain, loss of sensation, balance and gait issues. My autonomic nervous system is also affected so my body has difficulty regulating blood pressure and heart rate, causing postural tachycardia, dizziness and fatigue unless I am seated. I suffer a wide range of other symptoms from secondary complications from the nerve dysfunction including a paralysed gastrointestinal tract. This had made me lose a lot weight, suffer malnourishment and many other unpleasant symptoms. I also have a permanent catheter placed due persistent bladder retention issues due having a neurogenic bladder and severe pain.
I've been undergoing investigations for some time but they have been severely delayed due to Covid, negligence and huge waiting lists. I've been waiting for more investigations from neurology, gastroenterology and urology but my issues are so complex I keep hitting dead ends.
I had a brain MRI which shows I have a lesion/cyst/benign tumour and I have been waiting over a year since its discovery to find out what exactly it is. Unfortunately I have not made much  progress and I can't seem to get the right help on the NHS and need to look into private specialists to obtain a second opinion but I can not afford this. I also suspect I may have EDS and POTS but I'm being repeatedly dismissed.
I have unfortunately faced a lot of medical negligence and medical malpractice.

I have been mostly bedbound and housebound over the last 2 years due to my illness and have lost my independence. My quality of life is very poor and I'm suffering every day with no end in sight.

I am looking to raise funds for private care to obtain proper diagnosis and treatment, legal fees for medical malpractice, homecare and living costs.
I aim to see a private neurologist, gastroenterologist, rheumatologist and potentially another urologist.

Not that long ago, I never thought I'd end up being ill enough where I would not be able to work, needing a wheelchair, struggling financially and resorting to asking for help from others. I am in extreme financial difficulty from not being able to work which is causing huge stress. I am also having to go through an appeal process with the council as I have lost the funding for my home care too which is vital to assist with personal care and my independence. This will also impact my quality of life massively if I lose the care I need. I can not afford to fund it myself. This is not including paying rent, bills, let alone being able to afford private health care. I am scared for my future and fear I will lose the little I have left. I have been in a constant battle with the NHS and I just want my life back.
It goes to show how sudden life can change and it has opened my eyes up to whole different world of difficulties that the disabled and chronically ill face.

Any donation, however small, would be so appreciated.
I just want to get out and get living again!

Thank you for reading,
Jordan.
