Help Jordan secure housing and studio space
Hey y’all. This year has been extremely hard on me, like so many others, and I need your help.
As some of you know, since October of 2019, I haven’t had a secure place to live. I’ve been couch surfing and crashing at family friends houses for weeks at a time, while trying to find affordable housing here in the bay. It’s been very hard and my mental health has taken a turn for the worse.
During this time, I left my job of 7 years when they asked me, a black woman, to take off my Black Lives Matter mask in the middle of the biggest civil rights movement in history. For the first few months, I was able to support myself with selling art, but I’m not able to consistently make art when I don’t have a place to live. I have been applying to jobs, but as many of us know, it’s really hard to find one right now.
The money donated will go towards first months rent, a security deposit, and hopefully one or two more months of rent while I get back on my feet and crank out as much art as possible.
Every single donation is appreciated. Every share is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
