On May 31, my brother Jordan crashed head-on at 50 MPH into another vehicle that had run a red light. He suffered a broken sternum, heart contusions, and a variety of more minor injuries, but by all accounts he's lucky to have survived. Jordan has been working an average of 50-55 hours a week for nearly 5 years to save up and pay off his house, car, and credit card debts, and fulfill his dream of moving to California. He was on track to finally meet that goal by the end of the summer, but expenses beyond what's covered by insurance are piling up, and savings are quickly draining.
