On October 8th 2024 we received a call that my sister had a seizure and is in the emergency room . They did a CT scan and they believe that she had a brain bleed. With this result, she needed emergency brain surgery, when they went in they actually found pus and not blood, which means there was an infection in her brain. There was so much infection in her brain that it did shift her brain over a half an inch. After brain surgery, they decided to do a sinus surgery to clean her sinuses out. She spent the night in ICU. Jordan was then transferred to Neuro floor where she received care to fight this infection. On this floor, she received lots of CT scans, MRI, bloodwork, OT, PT, anything you can name, and eventually a pick line for the hope of going home. She spent 9 days on this floor. She made amazing improvements. When she was about to be discharged on October 18 she started vomiting and it really concerned the nurses so back in for a CT scan, an x-ray, and more intensive bloodwork that she could not get through her pick line. The CT scan showed that she still had a huge infection in her brain. Jordan was then rushed down for a second emergency brain surgery. Where they actually remove some of her skull to get as much infection out as possible. The doctors are really hoping that it will not affect her motor skills as that is where most of them infection was above the part in her brain. As of today, she is currently in the ICU, hoping to be put back on the neuro floor. She is currently alert, talking walking slowly and moving as much as possible. We still do not know what the long-term affects this could cause.

Jordan will probably not be able to return for work for a long time and we’re looking for as much help as possible.
