My name is Jordan, and I’ve always prided myself on working hard and caring for others. For the past ten years, I’ve dedicated myself to earning my master’s of science in clinical mental health counseling, and I was just two months away from graduating.
A few weeks ago, my life changed in an instant. I was waiting at a red light when a drunk driver hit my car going 30 MPH. The driver did not have insurance, and now I am working with lawyers to try to get medical coverage. Since the accident, I’ve developed idiopathic intracranial hypertension, lost vision in my left eye, and am now facing a series of medical procedures, including a spinal tap. The impact has been overwhelming, and I am unable to work because of my vision loss.
I’ve always tried to be there for my friends and community, but now I find myself needing help. The funds raised here will go toward my medical bills and daily expenses while I focus on healing and, hopefully, finishing my degree. Any support you can give would mean the world to me as I navigate this incredibly tough time.
