Hello Everyone!
I am excited to announce that I will be volunteering with Global Dental Relief in Kenya this upcoming June. Many of you followed along on my journey to Nepal in 2024 with GDR. It was a life-changing experience that made me realize my passion for helping others. This mission means a lot to me for many reasons. Many children in other countries do not have access to dental care, and this could be their first time receiving dental treatment. My GDR team provided free dental treatment to 502 patients in Kathmandu, Nepal, in the fall of 2024.
Global Dental Relief’s mission is to provide free dental care around the globe in Nepal, Guatemala, Mexico, Kenya, and Cambodia. Teams of volunteer dentists, hygienists, assistants, and general volunteers deliver treatment and preventive care in dental clinics that serve children in schools and remote villages. As a dental hygienist, my role in Kenya will include providing as many cleanings as possible, as well as educating the patients on how to keep their smiles happy and healthy.
To help make this dream a reality, my goal is to raise $5000 by March. This money would help cover the cost of airfare, ground transportation, food, lodging, and the recommended vaccinations. Any donation amount will be greatly appreciated, no matter the amount, and will help me make a difference during my mission in Kenya. If you are a dentist or hygienist, or work in a dental setting, I would also be happy to take any donated supplies with me to the dental clinic in Kenya. Thank you for your continued support! I look forward to sharing my experience with all of you. Please reach out with any questions or if you would like more information on the trip or GDR!
With gratitude,
Jordan
