Hi everyone, my name is Brandy, and I am writing to you from New Jersey on behalf of my close friend and his 1-year-old son, Jordan.

Jordan is currently fighting for his life against a rare and life-threatening medical crisis. What began as a fever escalated into a dual-bacteria blood infection (Sepsis). Jordan is battling both Salmonella and E. coli in his bloodstream. Doctors have emphasized that the E. coli strain is particularly dangerous and aggressive for a child his age.

This massive infection caused severe swelling (edema) in his airway, making it impossible for him to breathe on his own. Jordan spent 7 harrowing days in the Pediatric ICU, fighting for every breath while on a ventilator. A CT scan also revealed small spots of blood on both sides of his head, requiring constant neurological monitoring to ensure the infection does not cause permanent damage.

The Current Status:

Jordan is a miracle in the making. He has finally been moved out of the ICU and into the High Dependency Unit (HDU). He is breathing on his own again and has finally started showing signs of his playful self. However, the battle isn't over. Because of the dual-infection, he must stay in the hospital for at least 14 more days for intensive monitoring and must complete a 6-week course of powerful IV antibiotics to completely clear both the Salmonella and the E. coli from his system.

The Financial Need:

As non-citizens in Malaysia, the costs at Hospital Tunku Azizah are significant. Between the 7 days of life support in the ICU, specialized scans, and the long-term specialized medications required to fight two separate bacteria, the total bill is estimated to reach RM 16,000 (approx. $4,000 USD). Jordan’s father is staying by his side 24/7 and is currently unable to work. With their family far away in Nigeria and the Philippines, we are reaching out to our global community for help.

Transparency & Transfer Plan:

Because GoFundMe doesn’t support direct transfers to Malaysia, I, Brandy, am hosting this fundraiser from New Jersey. All donations will be withdrawn into my US bank account and then transferred 100% to Jordan’s father via Grey/Wise to be paid to the hospital cashier. I will post photos of the hospital receipts and medical updates here so you can follow Jordan’s progress.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps get Jordan back to a healthy life. Please share this link with your friends and family.
