I’ve been given the chance of a lifetime to attend my dream dance program at The Space in Los Angeles—a place that only accepts a handful of students from thousands of applicants and a place that has been a dream of mine to attend as far back as I can remember. This opportunity is everything I’ve worked for, but I can’t achieve it without your help.

Over the years, my parents have given everything to support my dreams, facing countless challenges and obstacles along the way. Even when my mom was finishing chemotherapy, feeling weak, and trying to recover, she made sure I got to an international dance competition, standing by my side every step of the way. She has been there for me through my entire dance journey, sacrificing so much, from late nights bedazzling costumes to sitting through every rehearsal and training session.

Now, I want to help ease some of the pressure on them, so they can see their sacrifices truly pay off. That’s why I’m asking for your support.

Since we immigrated, our family has faced more challenges than I can count, what was meant to be a new start and adventure quickly turned into a nightmare for them. We were deceived by an immigration consultant who took a huge portion of our savings and left us in a terrible situation. Then, after selling the business my parents had started and run for 25 years, the buyer disappeared without paying them, taking with him everything they had built. The stress and pressure on them has caused so much stress and has been disheartening, but still they have tried everything to get me to a place of success. There have been unexpected medical bills and personal losses that have made starting over incredibly difficult. Throughout everything, my parents have tried to do the right thing, even bringing our dogs with us when we immigrated. Tragically, two of them passed away, resulting in thousands of dollars in vet bills. Despite all of this, my parents have never stopped working to provide for me. They’ve sacrificed so much—far more than I can even express—to give me the chance to follow my passion. Through it all, the heartache and trials and tribulations, my mom constantly has a smile and encouragement and remains positive.

I see the stress they’re under every day. I know how hard they’ve worked and continue to work, and how much they’ve given up just to see me succeed. They never stop working at rebuilding life and It breaks my heart to see the weight they carry, trying to make this dream a reality for me. They’ve always put me first, and I’m so incredibly thankful for everything they’ve done. I know they would give up anything and everything for me, but I also know how hard its all been for them.

Dance has been my life for as long as I can remember. It’s not just a passion—it’s who I am. I’ve spent countless hours training, competing at the World Championships, the American Dance Awards, and winning the South African Championships of Performing Arts. Every accomplishment, every award, is a testament to the love and dedication I have for dance. But none of it would have been possible without the unwavering support of my parents.

Attending this program would be the culmination of everything I’ve worked for, and it would mean the world to me. But to get there, I need your help. Every little bit brings me closer to my dream and eases the huge pressure on my parents, who have already sacrificed so much and struggling just to rebuild our lives. They are unrelenting and never stop pushing forward and I am so honoured to be their daughter and I want to try and help.
