Help Jordan regain her life after head injury

Hi friends, my name is Jordan. It's really hard for me to ask for help and this took a lot of courage, but I truly don't have any other options right now. I've been back and forth in the ER multiple times in the past month which has led me to share my storing my story, I'd love it if you could take a moment to read it. 

I am a 25-year-old enthusiastic individual who loves health and wellness. I’ve always been so passionate about wellness and holistic healing, so I studied massage therapy and became an RMT in hopes to start a health business, and helping others heal! I live a very active life and love being outside whether it’s hiking, in the mountains or going on runs

As some of you know, unfortunately, I was in a serious car accident back on October 9th, 2021. I was a passenger in a vehicle with a guy I was seeing who was driving at an unsafe speed of 150km/hr at night on a highway back from Nelson to Calgary. He missed a stop sign, crossing a four-way intersection where the road turned from a paved backroad to a dirt road. I could see it happening before but had no way of stopping it. He hit the dirt road going the speed of 150 immediately we caught air the car began flipping from front to back and we flew through the air, flipping over ten or so times . I thought I was going to die. I continued to pray "God is with us, God is with us, God is with us" and felt surrounded by angels at that moment.

Everything was crushed and I didn’t think I was going to make it. When we landed in a field I was somehow still alive and called for help. The car was crushed, mostly on my passenger side, my chest was crushed, and I was having difficulties breathing. I thought my heart was going to stop. I was in and out of consciousness until the ambulance came, and I was put in a neck brace, and taken to the hospital.

For the weeks and months following, I was in the most severe pain I've been in my entire life.

Since then, I've suffered from several injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, memory issues, nerve damage, rib and intercostal muscle damage causing difficulties with breathing, sprained abdominal obliques, severe myoskeletal injuries in my neck and back leading to chronic pain, a vestibular disorder, PTSD, and severe post-concussion syndrome. I've also had other ongoing health issues such as recent seizure-like symptoms which have affected my quality of life in so many ways.

I’ve been receiving ongoing treatment, including physio, post-concussion and vestibular therapy, occupational therapy physiology, acupuncture, chiro, and other rehabilitation treatments to get me back to where I was prior.

However, my neurological symptoms have been getting worse and continue to get worse.

I experience daily cognitive issues, loss of vision, confusion, dizziness, vertigo, spinning, loss of balance, migraines, memory problems, breathing issues and severe ongoing pain in my ribs and chest. Recently, I experienced a seizure-like episode where I was uncontrollably jerking and lost my ability to speak, talk, or think, ending up in the ER again.

This has made me have to modify a lot of my activities and life. I've tried to return to work multiple times and failed due to my injuries.

My doctor said autonomic system isn’t functioning correctly due to nerve damage from my head injury. It's causing a lack of blood flow and oxygen in my brain and heart as well as irregular heart rhythms. 

I am on a referral program to see a neurologist and brain injury clinic, but the expected wait time is up to 18 months. I'm afraid waiting this long and not getting the proper treatment is causing further complications and damage to my brain. Plus, quite frankly I don't have 18 months.

I can't afford to pay my rent or any bills because I can't work. There's no funding available. I've tried and I no longer get disability or EI. I've been fighting with insurance for disability funding, but due to the system, I am unable to get it any longer. 

Financially and mentally this has left me feeling very stressed out. I feel confused with what's going on and don’t have much answers for right now until I can do further tests and see specialists, but anyone that can help me I must pay for out of pocket. 

I'm asking for help because I greatly need the support right now. Any donation is so very helpful in helping me pay my rent, bills, and treatments with specialists until I'm better to work again. I appreciate your help and support so much.
