Dear Family and Friends of Jonnie,
Update:
Jonnie will start six cycles (18 weeks) of chemo tomorrow (11/24) for her B-Cell Lymphoma. Because of your love and support she is feeling confident and going in strong. Thanks again for being a part of her community. Tori and Katie are grateful and we will keep you posted.
Love,
Niece Carly
Our girl Jonnie is one of a kind. She’s been there to lend an ear, a hug, and make us smile with her whole-body laugh… you know the one where she playfully pushes you and smacks your arm, even though she’s the one who made the joke? Well, she’s having a biggish surgery on Oct. 29th that will require her to be off her feet and unable to work for 6-8 weeks.
She has an annoying anterior mediastinal mass which, apparently, is tricky for doctors to get to, so please include her in your prayers and your hearts next week.
Tori is coming in from Hawaii, and Katie is arranging her work/school schedule to make sure Jonnie is smothered in love and care during and after her surgery. Her friends Lynne and Cathy will also come in to help. While Jonnie will have her daughters and best friends with her, there is still concern about the financial aspect of being off her feet for two months.
Because Jonnie is a friend to so many people, there have been suggestions to start a GoFundMe to help cover her rent and bills for the time she will be unable to work and it will help cover any unexpected medical costs.
If you are interested and able to contribute, the GoFundMe would be the best way to help alleviate the stress of bills piling up during her recovery. Our hope is that she can truly relax and heal so she can return to her giggly, sweet, loquacious, and loving self as soon as possible.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Love,
Niece Carly
