On December 3rd, our dear friend Joni Johnson experienced a life-altering event when she slipped on sheer ice, fracturing a wrist and a hand.
As you can imagine, this painful and debilitating incident has rendered Joni incapable of performing even the simplest tasks on her own. She's so grateful to the generous friends and family who've been caring for her (and her cat and two large dogs) around the clock since the day of the incident.
Meanwhile, as a hairdresser who makes her living with her hands, injuring both of them has made it impossible for her to work. She will be unable to return back to work until she has made a full recovery, and with the extent of her injuries still unclear this could be anywhere from 3 months to a year. She's already missed an entire month (usually her busiest of the year) and being without her income has already made an impact on her regular monthly expenses.
We set up this GoFundMe because so many people have asked how they can help. Any money raised will go towards Joni’s ongoing care and medical expenses, as well as offset the financial burden of the months she will miss at work. All donations are appreciated no matter how small.
