Meet Jonesy! He is a special cat near and dear to our hearts that was left behind by his previous owner in our neighborhood and is the man of the street. Everyone loves him, a couple of us have been feeding him and keeping him comfortable as best we can. Thank you Ewen!

Jonesy loves to be outside and is very independent. He appears to be losing weight quickly and needing vet care. His teeth are a mess, his ears I have cleaned many times but they are always black. He may have fleas and is a hot mess. The estimate is around $450 for a rescue visit, blood work and tests plus additional funds for any medications or further care and special foods. He is estimated to be 11 years old.

We are trying our best to care for him with high calorie foods and supplements and lots of love but we also have our own pets and many expenses and struggle to find the extra funds to take him to the vet and pay for all the tests he will need (not to mention getting him there now that will be a struggle in itself getting him in a carrier but we are willing to take it on!)

We suspect he may have a thyroid issue as he is always starving and eating but never gains weight. Most of you already have heard his story or have seen him for yourself over the years but I wanted to emphasize that we are doing the best we can for him and would never ask for help unless it was truly necessary. This is an estimated bill from Dr. Culpepper from Paws and Claws in Dunedin with a special rescue exam discount. She is the best and also supports the Suncoast Animal League.

Every dollar will go a long way to keep this sweet boy comfortable and at peace for the rest of his days like he deserves to be :-)
