Help Jonathon Fight His debilitating migraines.
Hi, I’m Jonathon. I’ve lived with migraines for as long as I can remember—but they became unbearable after a car accident changed everything.
When another driver pulled out in front of me, I had no time to stop. My seatbelt didn’t catch, and when my head hit the windshield, it didn’t shatter. That trauma caused a Chiari malformation, a condition where brain tissue extends into the spinal canal. Since then, my migraines have become more severe, more frequent, and more complex—some even bring me to my knees.
I’ve been diagnosed with over a dozen types of migraines, including Chronic Paroxysmal Hemicrania—a rare, treatment-resistant condition. I’ve tried everything: medical implants (which have helped some), piercing therapies, and countless medications. But as one doctor put it, “You will always have to fight migraines.”
Recently, one of my headaches became so intense it caused a hemorrhage in my eye. That terrified me. These aren’t just headaches—they are disabling attacks that impact every part of my life.
Unfortunately, my condition is so complex that many doctors and clinics have turned me away. The only specialists who have the tools and experience to help are at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Thankfully, I’ve been accepted, and I have my first appointment scheduled for July 28th at 9 AM.
But getting there, staying there, and affording the care is more than I can manage on my own.
I’m asking for your help to make this life-changing opportunity possible. Here’s what I need:
• Hotel Stay: 2 weeks near the clinic at $120/night = $1,500
• Travel: One-way airfare to Rochester (I don’t have a confirmed return date yet) = $400–$600
• Food & Daily Expenses: For 2 weeks of meals and essentials
• Medical Costs: Help meeting my $5,000 insurance deductible, plus 20% of each test
My goal is simple: to wake up one day, pain-free, and watch the sunrise without the weight of a migraine.
If you can help—through a donation or even just by sharing this campaign—I would be so deeply grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and support my journey toward healing.
With hope,
Jonathon
